North Wimmera Midweek Pennant Final 2021

What an exciting finish to the Midweek Pennant with the final played at Beulah between Warracknabeal and Rainbow. 

After 74 ends and two games completed Rainbow were one down and Warracknabeal was holding one in game three with each skip having one bowl to play, Skip Elaine (Rainbow) played her last bowl and trailed the jack and scored one shot making the scores level at 73 all. In the required extra end Rink 1 Warracknabeal scored one, rink 2 Warracknabeal skip still had a bowl to play and were one down on the head. Rink 3 Warracknabeal was one down with Isobel (Warracknabeal)to play the last bowl, what a bowl, it picked up the jack and trailed it to score three shots. Rink 2 then played their final bowl in a safe manner. 

Final Result Warracknabeal 77 Rainbow 74 

Team 1 Warracknabeal 43 defeated Rainbow 13 

Neville Keam, Ian Hewitt, Calvin Pendlebury and Jing Robertson(s) defeated Carol Gebert, Pam Weir, Wayne Nitschke and Debbie Lowe (s) 

Team 2 Warracknabeal lost Rainbow 21-23 

Debra Steed, Robyn Goodwin, Graeme Shalders and Edna Anderson (s) lost Amanda Sluggett, Teresa Gould, Wayne Thomas and Wendy Sleep. 

Team 3 Warracknabeal lost Rainbow 13-38
